yes the 70s...
mrchazman and i used to go to a mongolian bbq place in mt view all the time.

i blurred out the lady that was waiting for her food.

and started wearing gloves.

and is having a bit of difficulty getting them on the spoon.

i tried helping...

what a great idea!

i made my regular cornbread-biscuit dressing...
and once i had everything mixed...
i put the mixture into muffin tins.

they're soft and moist on the inside...
and crusty on the outside.
yum!!!

i will be making these again.

i'm trying out a new cranberry sauce recipe...
where i roast the cranberries.

i didn't care for it as much as my regular sauce...
and i'm glad i made it on monday...

analogous colors...

we had a color assignment in my photography class...
and though i had a GREAT initial photo for the analogous print...
i neglected to remove the stems from the peppers...
thus adding a THIRD color into the photo...
that was not next to the other two on the color wheel.

this is my reshoot.
i just wanted it to be over.

the red is caribbean red peppers from my garden...
and the orange is calamondin...
which is a citrus used in asian cuisines.
the fruit is sour.
the peel is sweet.

when i saw this...

she gets a new article of clothing every week!

when my mother walks in the house with the bag...
she greets her at the door...
and helps bring in the purchase.

as she removes items from the bag...
she says...
ooooohhhhh!

i made the mistake of trying her new coat on her...
and had to chase her down to get her to take it off!

when the weather gets cooler...

this is a black bean...
vegetarian chili.

i had quite a few tomatoes that i needed to pick...
so i found a great use for them.

boiled peanuts...

when i was at the farmer's market yesterday...
i also bought green peanuts...
and made crock pot boiled peanuts.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 quarts uncooked green peanuts
1/2 cup salt
2 1/2 quarts water

Directions:
1 Wash Peanuts until water runs clear.
2 Place peanuts in crock pot.
3 Add salt and water; stir.
4 Cook, covered, on high for 5 to 7 hours.
5 Add additional water during cooking, if necessary, to keep peanuts covered.
