and i love their long bills.

he was hunting the entire time i was shooting him...
and i patiently waited for him to come out from within the reeds so i could also get the reflection.

when i came out...
i took a few selfies.

i wanted to go out to emeryville and berkeley today for some photos...
but when we went to get on the freeway...
bumper to bumper traffic.

i exited at the next off ramp...
and headed in another direction...
still in search of water.

we ended up at port sonoma...
where i took a few photos of boats...
but what i really wanted were bird photos.
