red roses.

we have a pink rose bush in our front yard.
it makes volunteer rose bushes...
and somehow...
the roses are red.

i know!!!
i don't understand it...
but we've planted two of the offspring in the back yard...
and a third has just sprung up.
yes...
it's roses are also red.

i love discovering the mysteries of my garden.
and look forward to many more.

today is the 43rd earth day...
and i thought this quote was very appropriate.
